Joyce Thompson, President
Thompson’s marketing career began at educational publishers in New York and Boston and moved online in 1994, when she became a content contributor and featured interviewer for MSN. In 1997 she joined with Schuyler Ingle to create Thompson & Ingle Communications, a Seattle-based marketing boutique that regularly provided content for Microsoft TechNet, Microsoft’s OEM channel website, the Microsoft Windows Design Group, Microsoft Magazine, Amazon.com and Adobe.
Moving to the Bay Area in 2001, Thompson joined embedded software company Wind River, where she served as Senior Marketing and Corporate Communications Specialist before becoming Product Marketing Manager for the new Device and Test Management product line. In 2007, she joined SaaS-based content management system company Clickability as Senior Product Marketing Manager. Since its founding in 2009, Thompson has worked with Launchismo clients to bring innovative new products into the marketplace.
Thompson is an honors graduate of Cornell University and the author of six novels, two collections of short stories and a memoir.
Schuyler Ingle, Principal
A respected journalist whose food, health and lifestyle writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Harpers, Sunset, Travel and Leisure, Saveur, Epicurious and many other print and online publications, Ingle turned to marketing communications when he co-founded Thompson & Ingle in the late 90s, serving as Amazon’s primary cookbook and cookware reviewer for several years, and acting as project and travel manager for Seattle online music startup, Bootleg TV.
With a move to the Bay Area, Ingle joined Niman Ranch Meat Company, where he managed direct to consumer customer service and supported the company’s sales staff. Today, he works with Launchismo clients in the healthcare, food and home design industries, creating compelling messaging for new products and business initiatives. Ingle acts as Launchismo’s financial officer as well as managing our IT assets.
Ingle is coauthor of the popular cookbook, Northwest Bounty, and the editor of several books on food and agriculture. He is a graduate of Beverly Hills High School and attended Antioch’s Graduate Program in Writing.
